14/06/08: Report of a collapsed male on the beach at the Old Harbour. Barry Coastguard were tasked, finding an inebriated male with three children lying on the sand. We assisted the ambulance crew to move the male onto a stretcher to be taken to hospital. Police were in attendance.
 
10/06/08: Report of a small dinghy approximatly 1/4 mile off Whitmore Bay. Barry Coastguard were tasked to investigate, along with Barry Dock Lifeboat, finding no persons aboard and no signs of it being abandoned at sea.
 
10/06/08: Report from a member of the public of polution in the sea at Rhoose point. Barry Coastguard were tasked to investigate, finding dark patches along the coast, believed to be from cloud shadows.
 
06/06/08: Report of an 18 year old male stuck in the mud at Barry Old Harbour. Barry Coastguard were tasked, and assisted the casualty to shore. Paramedics on scene.
 
24/05/08: Report of a broken down jet ski off Hays slipway, being towed back in by an inflatable boat from a dredger. Barry Coastguard were tasked to obtain details.
 
21/05/08: Report of four people cut of by the tide at The Knap (Bulls Nose). Barry Coastguard were tasked to investigate, along with Barry Dock Lifeboat. The people were found safe and well on Porthkerry beach.
 
20/05/08: Report of a Yacht in difficulties, but anchored off Nells Point Barry Island. Barry Coastguard attended, finding that a small inflatable dinghy had been trying to push the yacht around the point, but ran out of fuel. Barry Dock Lifeboat were launched to recover the yacht to Barry Harbour. Details taken and advice give by Barry Coastguard.
 
18/05/08: Report of an overdue 12ft Fletcher Speed Boat, launched from Weston Super Mare, last seen between 06:30 and 07:30am. Barry Coastguard were tasked to search from Hays Slipway to East Aberthaw, along with several other teams in the Bristol Channel, Lifeboats from both sides of the channel and Rescue Helicopter 169 from Chivenor. The casualty was found safe and well on Steepholm Island by Rescue 169 and recovered by lifeboat.
